Embry-Riddle is having its first Engineering Camp this summer. The camp will have children from 7-14 years of age. It is designed to generate the creative and innovative thoughts in young minds. The camp will involve a wide array of activities involving engineering, math, aviation maintenance and crash investigation, robotics, meteorology, air traffic control, aviation and space adventure.

The Embry-Riddle Future Space Explorers and Developers Society (ERFSEDS) ended their academic year with a bang this past June, returning from the Fifth Intercollegiate Rocket Engineering Competition (IREC) in Green River, Utah bearing a first place trophy.

For the past year and a half, GCSU has been working with the Georgia Department of Transportation, as well as the city of Milledgeville, to install a new red light at the intersection of West Campus Drive and the 441 bypass.

After originally being approved, many budget cuts and discussions about the light have led to the conclusion it is unnecessary.

According to a Public Safety report, on August 26 at approximately 10:03 p.m. a female reported that she was running on Greene Street by the Exchange Bank, wearing her head phones, when a tall, skinny, black male struck her in the back of the head with a brown pole.

While Saturday welcomed most returning students back to Rollins, the Class of 2014 was busy unpacking its bags starting at 9:00 a.m. last Thursday. Some of the only upperclassmen on campus at that time were the new class' Peer Mentors and Resident Assistants.
